One of the many things that I strive for in my quest for self-betterment is to learn how to work smarter rather than harder. Trust me, I have worked plenty hard since emerging from college twenty-seven long years ago but it pains me to know many people who work fewer hours than I do and/or less stressful jobs or perhaps run their own business and do so much better than I do.
Many of them have naturally embraced the philosophy of working smarter rather than harder, and that is something that would behoove both you and me to implement.
Besides weekends, I am nearly always working, literally always working. I am an economic development professional and besides the immense pressure of trying to save as many small businesses as possible during this pandemic, it seems that whatever I do is not quite good enough for the Powers That Be in the City where I work, namely the Mayor and City Council.
Trust me, I know and you know that the horrible drop in sales due to the closures forced by the Coronavirus is not my fault, but they sure make it feel like it is.
