O Lord, O God of Forgiveness, Our God and God of Our Ancestors, forgive our sins as we begin this new month.
Be gracious to all, rich and poor, young and old, foolish and wise, those still enjoying their health and those suffering from the effects of Coronavirus.
Please protect the frail and elderly. Please protect children who have done nothing wrong. Protect the innocent. Protect those who protect others. Protect our mothers and fathers, protect our children, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, siblings, spouses and those whom we hold closest to our hearts.
Please show your divine mercy to those first responders, those brave men and women who do whatever they can to protect and comfort others from this horrendous pandemic. Please show mercy to the men and women who work in the health care field, doing their best day and night to serve others despite the many difficulties and perils they face.
Help us to survive this coming month, the month of April 2020. We know that there will be many challenges set before us. Some may seem insurmountable and yet we promise to do whatever we can to help others and we pray that you help sustain us and provide us with the strength to overcome those obstacles.
For all the gifts you have given us we offer praise to You, Lord Our God.
