Hello there! I am a middle-aged middle-class family man with interest in personal finance and investing among other things. I married my college sweetheart back in 1996 and we have two children, a son born in 1998 and a daughter born in 2003. I am also the proud father of a lovely Morkie. We live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and I have lived in the area for my entire life.

By day, I have been an economic development professional since 2000. Prior to that, I served as a Cook Co. Adult Probation Officer for seven years right out of college.

Because I work for a very conservative town and also share personal details about myself and some people who I know, I write under a pen name combining the first initial and two names from dearly departed predecessors, each of whom had a tremendous amount of influence on me.
