You know about the calm before the storm. But can you also remain calm during it?

In hindsight, the calm before the storm appears to have been the complacency that was setting in of reading and hearing about the Dow hitting all-time highs nearly every day last month and the unemployment rate reaching the lowest levels in many of our lifetimes.

Oh, how I miss those good old days of three weeks ago!

I am generally not a great sleeper but have at least become closer to an average one, but not due to my sleeping better. I have become more average because everyone else is getting worse.

I definitely did not hit the five-and-a-half-hour mark last night, having stayed up past 1:00 AM this morning chatting with my wife and kids about… well, you tell me what we were chatting about.

I eventually fell asleep about a half-hour later, only to wake up around 2:30 to use our fine facility. In addition to everything else I did during my super-hectic twenty-hour day yesterday, I consumed some wine and ate some Pringles at around 11:30 last night — a big no-no for me!

I dozed off once again for about three hours before waking up for good at about 5:30 to the same thoughts that had been racing through my mind just four short hours earlier. What am I going to do and what should…
