I’m not such a popular guy on this platform but, TBH, I no longer give a fuck. I’m going to write what I want when I want to. If two people read it or 5,000, I’m cool with either one.

So pardon my French, or don’t pardon it. Whatever.

So I now declare that I will never buy your god-damned book!

Look, I get it.

Many writers on this platform have gained thousands of followers. Some tens of thousands. Even major BSer gurus like Deepak are here.

I also realize that putting your “best of” stories together into a package on Amazon, Gumroad, Substack, or even with a real publisher is one of the best hacks to make some extra dough. Shit, I may even do that myself. Surely some sucker out there would buy it, or at least read it for “free” as part of their Amazon membership.

I even have my own “book” of over 800 pages that I wrote decades ago after my late father, who was a real author with dozens of books published in print told me those sage words that Writers Write.

But damn!

Some of my favorite writers on Medium are pushing their new book with every fucking post or, excuse me, “story” on here. As a matter of fact, I came across four such posts yesterday alone and two…
