Hi there, I just saw the same # on their website so am a bit perplexed. The #'s that I quoted were based on both long-term and short-term capital gains as well as a divvy distributed every late Dec.

From their website: https://investor.vanguard.com/investment-products/mutual-funds/profile/vpmax#distributions

Type $/Share Payable date Record date Reinvest date Reinvest price

Dividend $1.829700 12/20/2023 12/18/2023 12/19/2023 $155.44

ST Cap Gain $0.056732 12/20/2023 12/18/2023 12/19/2023 $155.44

LT Cap Gain $9.426195 12/20/2023 12/18/2023 12/19/2023 $155.44

The total $ received from it was more like 7%, ($11.32 per share at a price of $155) but most of it is in capital gains. The yield that is quoted must be only from the $1.83 dividend.

To answer, I have about $67k in it. It closed to new investors quite a while back, I believe 2009.

Thank you for asking Banza.
