My Best Colorado Trip Yet!

Hopefully not my last one

Just another stunning view from one of our Colorado hikes this year.

My son lived in Colorado for a year. He moved there in the fall of 2021 to attend graduate school, which, like many things in life, did not work out according to plan.

One of the best things to come out of it, at least from my perspective, is that I got to visit him five times over the span of a year including a visit during the spring and, ultimately, my recent exhausting and expensive trip to move him from Denver to Athens a few weeks ago.

But procrastinator as I am, we did enjoy a purely recreational and fun visit from late June to early July. It was during this trip that an actual price was put on a decent night’s sleep, something that I did not have the privilege of enjoying while I was there.

But I did enjoy everything else from the hiking to the abundant great food that we enjoyed.

There are not too many things in this world that I enjoy more than hiking in what is currently my favorite state in the union. Allow me to clarify that neither my son nor I are major fans of Denver, the city…
