Neo-Plasticism: 1 of 2 created by the author.

According to theartstory.org, Neo-Plasticism, articulated most completely by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, relied on the most basic elements of painting — color, line, and form — to convey universal and absolute truths. Mondrian advocated for the use of austere geometry and color to create asymmetrical but balanced compositions that conveyed the harmony underlying reality.

As with many avant-garde styles of the early-20th century, a utopian vision of society underlay Neo-Plastic theory. Embracing the elemental forms of composition and the merging of painting and architecture, Neo-Plasticism strove to transform society by changing the way people saw and experienced their environment.

I created the above rendering on EthBlockArt at least six months ago. Because I do not yet possess any Ethereum, I did not mint it through the website, which would charge a gas fee for the privilege.

Instead, I downloaded the art and listed it on my OpenSea store, AFJazz Store.

However, I did respect the minimum price of .07 Ethereum ($281 as of today) for the block from which it was created.

It may never sell or it may net me a sweet .07 someday when I least expect it.

Since I was looking at EthBlock.art earlier today anyway, I went ahead and created a second NFT in the Neo-Plasticism art style. Of course, should either or both sell, I would certainly return to continue minting them in that way. Perhaps even pay the gas fee to list it on their site.

But probably not.
