If you want to write only what you want to write, you have to be happy that maybe it’s not for a large audience. You have to be happy that you probably won’t make much money. You have to truly be at peace that you’re in competition with a lot of other people for eyeballs and if you’re set on doing it your way, you’ll likely end up on the losing side of that equation more often than not.

This is the way I'm going. I had a few $300ish months and was setting my mind to utilize the hacks and SEO stuff that I read about, but have come to the conclusion that I am occasionally going to write something that I want to.
