I used to question what my sister's husband was going to do with a philosophy major in undergrad.

When I learned of the classes he was taking, I was jealous and learned that he was learning critical thinking.

Not a typical path, he later pursued a Master's in education and, even more recently, an MBA.

He went from an educator to become the founder of a school in NOLA, fired from that over politics, became an "educational consultant" with a software startup company and is now a successful millionaire who works remotely and travels much of the time.

He meets with superintendents and business managers of school districts to sell them software that replaces tedious administrative work previously done by humans but also rates teachers by various metrics that may or may not be fair.
