Trumpflation’s Coming For Us All!
Woe to the American consumer, indeed.
Prices are climbing, paychecks aren’t stretching, and somehow, we’re all expected to pretend that this is just how things work.
Grocery bills are up. Gas is up. Rent is up. Car insurance is up 12 percent in a year, and eggs? Up 53 percent.
Donald Trump, never one to underpromise, told Americans, “On day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again.” That didn’t happen.
He even laughably attributed the recent inflation numbers to his predecessor, which those of us with working brain cells know is a blatant falsehood.
And if his first weeks back in office are any indication, not only is inflation here to stay, but the policies coming out of the White House might just make things worse.
Voters put Trump back in the Oval Office because they’re feeling squeezed.
