Valentine’s Day Again

Another year, another ❤️ heart-shaped day

A celebration of love, or so they say

But for many, it’s a painful reminder

Of love lost, or love that’s a blinder

For the single, it’s a day to dread

As if being alone wasn’t hard enough, it is said

That on this day, love is all around

Except for them, who feel left on the ground

For those in a relationship, it can be a cruel test

Of expectations, pressure, and what’s best

Should they buy the perfect gift or plan a grand date?

Or is it all just commercialized fate?

And then there are those who mourn

For a love that’s gone, but not forgotten or forlorn

A day that once brought them joy

Brings memories they can’t avoid

So if you’re struggling this Valentine’s Day

Know that you’re not alone in any way

Take comfort in knowing that it’s only a day

And love can come in unexpected ways.
