I don’t assume to be around that long, but if I am and am lucky enough to collect the $2,000 to $2,500 that would come to me in the form of SS, I may do the same.

Heck, it might even be enough to cover rent or payment on a condo or pay for vacations or something. I haven’t calculated what I would receive, but I’ve been contributing to it for 30 years already and have earned over $100k for the past 10 years or so, so the amount should be decent.
