Member-only story
I recently rejoined Reddit after a few years away from it.
Soon after joining it a few years ago, my account was suspended for some nebulous reason and I just never really cared to get back into it.
It’s not like I’m a 25-year-old bro who trades based on what I read on the platform. My life was just as good without it as with it.
However, as I have delved deeper and deeper into following and generating NFT art and, specifically, generating most of mine via artificial intelligence, I once again stumbled across numerous Reddit threads, so I rejoined, was assigned the moniker “Apprehensive-Bug 1191,” and then added my nom de plume “M. Bernard Bloom” (derived from names of dearly departed).
I lost track of the forty or so subreddits that I had been following years before, but now follow Deep Dream and Night Cafe with dozens more to follow.
I can get sucked into scrolling through the Deep Dream subreddit for hours and am, generally, blown away by the level of the art posted there, mostly generated by a variety of artificial intelligence programs.
Redditors often inquire where someone created it, and a few nights ago somebody mentioned an app called Wombo Dream, which I promptly downloaded and started playing with.
