About once per week or so during the cool and frigid months, my wife makes chili for dinner in our crockpot.
We add corn salsa, avocado, regular salsa, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and sour cream to top it off.
She also makes cornbread to go with it, a favorite of all four of us. Three of us top the cornbread with honey; my wife just butters hers.
Nothing much more to say about it besides it is comfort food for a cold January night in the burbs of Chicago.
